Senior Construction Accountant

Job Description

  • Directly supports the finance department by completing various accounting functions and ensuring necessary transactions/data is collected and processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
  • Petty cash settlement
  • Issue bank checks
  • Confirm balances of contractors and suppliers at the end of each year.
  • Completing purchase orders
  • Completing bank reconciliations
  • Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
  • Verifying bank deposits
  • Managing day-to-day transactions
  • Treasury
  • VAT Monthly declaration (manually from the system then online, and its Payment).
  • Add/Deduct TAX – per quarter (manually from system – prepare its payment with treasury).
  • All Petty Cash reconciliation (review all the expenses).
  • Banks reconciliation (compare bank accounts from the bank with the system – all journal entries related).
  • Petty Cash Management (Monthly and daily expenses).
  • All journal entry reconciliation.
  • Treasury (all payments/receivables in cash & checks – all cash transactions).

Job Requirements

  • 4-8 years’ experience in accounting with construction experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Proficient at an intermediate level with MS Excel.
  • Strong accounting skills and oral/written communication
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Dependable, self-starter and motivated.
  • Must be personable, work well with others and embrace a service-oriented attitude
  • Excellent command in English and Arabic, Speaking, Writing and communicating
